Race Report:

Race Report: Julbo Eastern Grind MTB Race 2019     Round 6 of the  BUBBA Trophy Series   was held in northern Vermont at the legendary Catamount Outdoor Family Center. The  Julbo Eastern Grind MTB Race   course offered multiple “A” line options on fast flowing trails. The race was upgraded to UCI C1 status.     This challenging track would push racers to their endurance limits. Course distance was 5.3 miles per lap and featured 80% single track. The single track was twisty, moderately rooty and rocky, but flowed well. There were three  moderate climbs, and the rest of the course was littered with short, punchy climbs throughout the wooded single track.      With near perfect weather this venue was incredible as the race brought a bit of a larger crowd to watch the best riders compete as they were gunning to earn valuable UIC-sanctioned ranking points.      That’s a wrap! The 2019 mountain bike season is over. It was an absolute joy to race this year with the Bubba Trophy S

🍁 Maple Is My Staple 🍁

🍁      Maple Is My Staple  🍁      Bike wheels are prone to wear and tear over many miles ridden. So, if you’re a cyclist, replacing your wheels is inevitable. However, getting replacement wheels can be difficult with the many options available on the market. Good carbon fiber wheels are supposed to be strong, durable and lightweight. I opted for a set of  Maple  and couldn’t be happier with one race season under my belt on these wheels. Here are a few reasons why. Maple offers excellent perf ormance for it’s price, specifically designed for their toughness. These wheels have been battle tested in New England on rough trails and rougher roads. This has provided Maple with the ultimate proving grounds to create wheels for everyday use and not just specific wheels for racing or training. The most affordable “one wheelset” is extremely versatile and can handle any terrain encountered through gravel, cyclocross, rocks, roots and sketchy stuff that you probably shouldn’t ride but

Race Report: Fox Factory Barn Burner MTB Race 2019 Round 5 of the  @bubbatrophy  headed to Walpole, MA. The Fox Factory Barn Burner where racers raced through  Adams Farm . Starting in the grass field, the whistle blew and racers stomped their pedals into the land of twisty tight singletrack, flowy loam, raw rock gardens, rooty punchy climbs (nothing big) and one steep, loose climb. With each lap boasting 350ft of climbing, but that doesn't mean it's fast because all the roots and turns and stuff really force you to be on your toes!  The Fox Factory Barn Burner is a classic New England style event that is just minutes away from Boston. A great race dubbed the Leg Burner.  Mother nature brought the goods - a perfect day for racing Last stretch of single track before the finish line sprint. Flying through one of the many rock gardens. All smiles through the rocks.and tight twisty single track 230 Washington St Weym
