Wompatuck State Park

Wompatuck State Park . A little singletrack sample on a beautiful spring like day in the middle of January for a MTB ride.Chances are, you’re not going to find many friends who agree to meet you out this early. Sure, they’ll talk a hard game the night before, until it’s time to get up and they sleep through your text messages. I like riding early anyway, as it gives me time to think. This early in the day you’ll hit the trails with a clear head. Because you’re doing something you like you’ll be thinking about happy stuff, like new bike parts, and breakfast. Thanks for watching and feel free to reach out the team: -------------- -- GEAR -- -------------- [ What Am I Wearing? ] [ My Cannondale Scalpel-SI 2 ] [ My Video Gear ] Class Act Racing     230 Washington St Weymouth, MA 02188 (781) 337-7125 Please follow us:  Facebook Instagram  Blogspot Website Strava

Race Report: Midnight Ride of Cyclocross Class Act Racing's rider  Luciano Souza  opened up the 2019 season in Lancaster,MA at the ‘ The Midnight Ride of Cyclocross’ presented by Wheelworks . The race wasn’t at midnight; it wasn’t even in the dark; but man was it FUN . The course was challenging as it had a few interesting sections. Those sections really tested the bike handling skills. Congrats to Luciano for nabbing a 12th place finish out of a deep competitive field. Great event over the weekend and a big "thanks" to the organizers and volunteers.  The Revolution" continued at the Fairgrounds in Lancaster MA Prer-race photo with the new Specialized Crux Class Act Racing  230 Washington St Weymouth, MA 02188 (781) 337-7125 Please follow us:  Facebook Instagram  Blogspot Website Strava

Race Report: Freetown 50 MTB Race 2019        Freetown50 @EFTA NECS Marathon and Headbanger Finales Presented by @RockHardRacing , @Sparkbrs , @EnduranceThreads & @MayflowerBrewing .       The Freetown 50, in its seventh year running, boasted some course changes to help eliminate some lower sections with standing water. This simply meant more boney, technical, rocky singletrack and slower race times then previous years. Rock gardens were plentiful.  Choosing good lines and maintaining momentum were key to staying on the bike and riding a fast lap. The middle of the course was where racers could gain some time and relax a bit more on the bike handling skills with some smoother trails and dirt road sections.  Around mile 15, the rough singletrack started up again for several miles ending on some bone rattling rock gardens before finishing out the lap.       The Freetown 50 is an experience,  It’s also the hardest thing you’ll ever do. Don’t take our word for that, ask

Race Report: Landmine Classic MTB Race 2019      The Landmine MTB Classic 2019 held at Wompatuck Sate Park is the 19th consecutive running of the Landmine. 100% of the proceeds from Landmine go directly back to the Friends of Womparuck to support maintenance efforts, trail improvements, outreach, and educational programs in Wompatuck.      This year the course was modified to add a little more singletrack. With +80% singletrack all racers get a fun, challenging experience racing the East Coast rocky, rooty terrain. Wompatuck is fairly fast and littered with the aforementioned rocks.  There are a few spots that required your attention, so the technical nature was more about picking the best line to maintain your speed.       Always a great turn out, the event is well organized and offers some awesome riding that really challenges your patience and skills. With this being the last MTB race of the season, Class Act Racing is looking forward to the cyclocross season.
